give away with Urban Farmgirl and White Flower Farmhouse!

Well, this is the first for this as well...... Urban Farmgirl has 100 posts, a celebration, and a fantastic give away from White Flower Farmhouse. First of all I love both sites. the energy, the simple beauty..... not much else to say. Thank you to all the bloggers of both sites for such creative inspiration.

Ok, day 2.....

So, I have read, and re-read, and re-read Lissa's post over at Humble Pie and find her beyond inspirational. First, I completely understand the cleaning, and vacuuming out of the room thing! unbelieveable that we women do that! Second, I think I have come to the conclusion that I need to control things in my life - that is why I love to re-decorate, that is why I tried vegan/vegitarian diet, that is why I obsess about my kids and how they are doing. and like Lissa, I am beginning to see that I need let that go.... give it up the high power above, whatever you want to call it, and try to live the best life that I can. I still need to find out who I am in all of that but giving a little up means giving strength to myself!

The first one.....

Ok, well here goes. I am sure everyone has heard that one before. I guess I am here to go thru that cathartic experience of sharing my story, entering a community, finding some new friends, and getting new ideas. I am an artist/muralist and novice interior designer..... well the first part is true and I used to have a small interior consulting business in Ohio before moving to NC.

Now I am a corporate work by day mom who tries to day dream about vintage things, restoring antique pieces, a simple way of life and all surrounding by my loving family.

I think from reading other postings is that we all (and by we i mean women) have so much to balance that we forget and loose ourselves, our interests, even our soul sometimes. Maybe this may help me find that creative spark that I am missing so much - that proverbial missing piece.
